“South of the Bridge” is where the original settlements of McMurray and Waterways started, years ago. It has become increasingly popular since the 2016 Horse River Wildfire because much of the rebuilt housing stock suits modern peoples’ needs. Downtown McMurray and Waterways are steeped in history, Abasand and Beaconhill look down from the southern hills, and Gregoire, Grayling Terrace and Prairie Creek complete the southern, urban neighbourhoods.
