The hamlet of Saprae Creek is the third largest community in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. It is situated 25 kilometers south of Fort McMurray and can easily be accessed from Highway 69. The neighbourhood was established in 1987 and serves as the bedroom community to Fort McMurray. There are 977 residents currently residing in this community according to the 2015 census.
